The Spring Glen Garden Club is a chartered member of The Federated Garden Clubs of CT,. Inc. and The National Garden Clubs since 1929.

Edible gardening



A arrangement of produce from the garden of Co-president Anne Bell, displaying examples of the theme for the next two years (edible gardening). The basket includes gourds, pears, marigolds, sage, parsley and other garden produce.

Mr. Glass was thanking the ladies for taking care of The Bird and Butterfly Garden at Lockwood Farm, a property of The Agricultural Station. The Bird and Butterfly Garden is open to the public Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. Closed state holidays.

Pictures of Judy Becker at a recent meeting of The Spring Glen Garden Club. Ms.Becker gave a lecture on caring for orchids including repotting (she repotted two orchids for a member of the garden club) while explaining how this is done. Her orchids were spectacular and for sale. Judy is from Lauray of Salisbury.
Judy is opening her greenhouse for the public, Nov. 11-13, 2011 from 10am-5pm. 10%-20% on all plants. Lauray of Salisbury is located at 432 Undermountain Road, Salisbury, Ct. 06068-1102. 860.435.2263

THE SPRING GLEN GARDEN CLUB MARCH MEETING

THE SPRING GLEN GARDEN CLUB WILL BE HOLDING ITS MARCH MEETING WITH THE WOODBRIDGE GARDEN CLUB. THE MEETING WILL BE HELD MONDAY MARCH 8, 2010 AT THE MT. CARMEL CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH 3284 WHITNEY AVE.
